What is Marble?
Marble is one of the world’s most beautiful home surfacing materials.
It is a naturally occurring stone that is primarily made up of calcium carbonate. Marble tiles are durable, resistant to scratching and surface damage.
In Vancouver and BC, Marble is generally imported which makes it quite sought-after. Because it is not as readily available as many other stone, quality craftsmanship can be hard to find. Global Stone is one of the few companies in BC that has masons exclusively employed to craft marble surfaces.
Highest quality finishing
Marble tiles are available in dozens of different sizes, designs, styles, colours and finishes making them one of the most versatile products used by Global Stone. Tumbled Marble particularly, can be used to create an absolutely pristine finish. But for a shiny appearance, it’s hard to go past glossy marble. These tiles are fantastic for ambient bathroom finishes.
Easy to maintain
To some extent, the more porous stones can be difficult to keep in pristine order. One of the major benefits of using marble in your home is that it’s quite is to maintain and therefore will keep in good order for the life of your home. It’s important to us a mild detergent when cleaning, but only every once in a while. Otherwise, warm water and a wash cloth is more than enough to keep your bathroom marble shiny.
